Welcome from the Music Perception team!
| On this site you will find training programs for adults and adolescents who use cochlear implants as well as other research endeavors of our team
The Music Perception Team is a unique part of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Department of Otolaryngology. As the Music Perception Team investigates the newest devices, strategies and processors, we also are working on ways to improve music perception for individuals who use cochlear implants. In our research, we evaluate the devices of various implant companies and provide information to them and the audiological community through scholarly publications and presentations at national and international conferences. We also look at methods we can implement to assist in improving how people with cochlear implants hear music. We have created this webpage to provide a venue through which cochlear implant users can access some of our newest rehabilitation endeavors and to provide information for parents who have children with cochlear implants and teachers who work with them.
